Tanner is a chef, filmmaker, and writer originally from Charlotte, NC.

Self-taught in the kitchen, he received a B.A. in Film from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2015. He is currently working on an M.A. in Food Studies & Sustainable Agriculture from NYU.

He is the author of “Forced to Cook: Basic Recipes for Quarantine” released for free online in 2020, which received widespread acclaim on social media and was downloaded over 10,000 times.

He spends his free time developing recipes, reading and writing about sustainability, making educational content, traveling, and playing chess (use the contact page to request a challenge!).
